Admissions

Children are admitted to Reception in the school year (i.e. 1st September-31st August) in which they reach their 5th birthday.  Before the children start school parents and children are encouraged to visit school as an opportunity to look around the school and have an informal discussion with the Headteacher and staff. Please contact the school office directly to arrange a visit.

Due to COVID-19 we are only able to conduct visits for new prospective parents outside of normal school hours and we require visitors to wear face coverings in certain areas of the school please.

Visits are arranged for all the children so that they can be introduced to school life and make the transition from home to school as smooth as possible.

As a voluntary controlled primary school, we do not directly deal with our own admissions and this is a process controlled by Lancashire County Council. Please follow the link below to gather more information on how and when you can apply for a school place.

If your child is assigned a place at Padiham Green, we shall invite you to a pre-school meeting during the summer term before they are due to start.  The children undertake an induction programme in school during the summer term and are admitted at the beginning of the new academic year.
