COVID-19 School Closure Arrangements
School Closure Arrangements
The school timetable will continue to operate in the same way in which it did before this lockdown, but only for those children whose parent/s have been identified as a Key Worker.
Please do NOT send your child to school if you are not a Key Worker unless you have been contacted by us separately.
Over the course of this week we will be asking all of our Key Worker parents to provide school with either a letter from their employer confirming their Key Worker status or other evidence in the form of staff identification cards.
Children will be kept in their own year group bubbles, with their own teachers and teaching assistants. The school day will follow the same structure as it did before the closure.
Those children still attending school will still be expected to follow the same attendance guidance as before and therefore, if your child is unwell or you decide to withdraw your child from school you must still contact us please.
Children should wear full school uniform and PE kits on those days when they would normally have PE please.
Start and finish times
The start and finish times and school year group entrances will also remain the same and we ask that your child arrives on time and is collected promptly please.
Out of School Clubs
Until we receive further guidance from the Local Authority we have made the difficult decision to stop the provision of the before and after school club and this will be closed until further notice. We understand that this may present some parents with an issue surrounding childcare, but we believe this is the best thing to do in the current climate.
Free School Meals
If your child is in school and usually receives either infant universal or income based free school meals they will continue to do so and we will also still be offering normal lunch arrangements for those who usually purchase a meal.
We are still working with the catering company and the Local Authority to establish the best way to distribute free school meals to those children who are entitled to income-based free school meals who are not in school and we will update you as soon as possible.
Mr. Tranmer has met with staff this afternoon to work out how we can deliver home learning in the most effective way for everyone and with this in mind and due to the introduction of our new website, we will not be releasing home learning to children until Thursday morning.
We will release further information tomorrow on how this can be accessed on Thursday and staff will be delivering children an exercise book to use for this purpose.
These arrangements may change as more information is released to schools by the Local Authority and we thank you for your continued patience.
