School Easing of Restrictions - From Monday 27.09.21

Gentle Easing of Restictions - Monday 27th September 2021

Easing of restrictions – Monday 27th September 2021

As you know safety is our first priority and with this in mind, it doesn’t feel right to completely relax our restrictions in school, but from Monday 27th September, we are including some changes below.

Start of the day

Children can enter through either the Green Lane, Greenway or Main Entrance gates to school from 8.45am (the joining gate between the reception class yard and the infant yard will remain closed). There will be a member of staff at each gate and in the morning we continue to ask that you drop your child off at the gates and do not stand on the yard with them please.

School starts at 8.55am and the entrance doors will open from 8.45am. Children must not arrive at school before 8.45am unless they are booked into breakfast club please, this is to limit the time that the children are congregating in the outside areas.

The gates will shut promptly and any late arrivals must go through the main reception please.

Classes 1 – 5 have no change to entrance doors. Class 6 are no longer entering through the main entrance doors, but entering through the back classroom door.

Reception class - (8.55am – 3.05pm)

Please enter school through the main school gate and enter through the side gate to your right. The classroom door will open from 8.45am to stop parents having to queue. We ask that older siblings are dropped off first please.

The collection time has changed for Year R and they now finish at 3.05pm.

Home time

Please collect Reception class children first before older siblings as they finish at 3.05pm.

All other year groups will now finish at 3.15pm and gates will open shortly beforehand and close promptly just before 3.30pm.

We ask that everyone observes social distancing, wears a face mask and does not gather with anybody outside of their household whilst on the school grounds please.

Book Bags & Pencil Cases

Reading folders (including the reading book and reading diary) to be brought into school each day please as we are no longer quarantining them at the end of each week and book bags can once again be used in school.

However, it is not necessary for children to bring their own pencil cases, so we ask that they do not please.

Social Distancing

We ask that everyone observes social distancing, wears a face mask and does not gather with anybody outside of their household whilst on the school grounds please.

Where possible only one adult should drop-off and collect your child please, this helps us to limit the number of people on the school grounds at any one time. Whilst we appreciate that it might be necessary for family and friends to help with childcare, we do ask that you avoid non-sibling children from other year groups coming in to close contact with each other please.

We ask that you please remain 2 metres from the doors and classroom entrance ways or ramps and do not approach your child’s teacher within this space. If you would like to discuss something with your child’s teacher, please may we ask that you call the school office and we can then arrange for this to take place.

Thank you.
