School Led Tutoring and Recovery Premium Funding
School Led Tutoring
Schools including Padiham Green have been provided with a school-led tutoring grant to support disadvantaged pupils in catch-up learning. This grant is intended to give schools and academy trusts the flexibility in determining how best to provide tutoring intervention to support catch-up for lost education due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
We employ a part-time tutor in the form of a qualified teacher with extensive primary school and tutoring experience who focuses on providing tuition to a group of pupils selected based on their eligibility for pupil premium but also includes pupils with other types of disadvantage or additional needs.
Recovery Premium Funding
The recovery premium grant is part of the government’s package of funding to support pupils whose education has been impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19).
At Padiham Green we use this funding in accordance with the guidance set out in the 'Using Pupil Premium, guidance for school leaders'.
Further information on the use of both the School Led Tutoring and Recovery Premium Funding can be found in our Pupil Premium Strategy Statement.
