The Big Plastic Count 2026

LET’S INVESTIGATE TO STOP THE PLASTICS CRISIS 9th March - 15th March 2026

For one week in March, thousands of people will be counting every piece of plastic packaging they throw away. Together, we’ll uncover the true scale of the UK’s big plastic problem and call on the government to do more about it.

We’re not just counting plastic – we’re building a movement for a fair future that’s free from the impacts of the plastics crisis.

The Big Plastic Count starts this week!

All children in Years 3 - Year 6 will be bringing home a count sheet and we have sent out a letter explaining how you can take part.
