Mathematics Curriculum at Padiham Green
At Padiham Green, we are passionate about Mathematics and provide every child, regardless of their ability, with a high quality Mathematics curriculum. Children are allowed the opportunity to investigate, question and explain throughout Mathematics which drives them to become curious, independent learners.
We aim to ensure children have the tools and strategies to reason mathematically and to solve problems that can be applied to a wide range of problems and situations, with confidence. Mathematics equips children with a uniquely powerful set of tools that link to life outside of the classroom and can be applied to their future lives.
Through Mathematics, we hope to instil perseverance, resilience and flexible thinking in the face of adversity and that children will channel these life-skills during challenging times in the future. We encourage our pupils to have a sense of pride and achievement when they have been able to find the solution to a problem.
