The Governors of Padiham Green Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Welfare Assistant to work as part of our lunchtime team. The successful candidate will work within a team to supervise our children both inside and outside, promoting good table manners, ensuring the safety of the children, fostering positive play and encouraging good behaviour.
We are looking for someone who can:
Show commitment to our school and our children
Develop positive relationships with adults and children
Support children in developing social skills
Help children organise playground games
Be kind but firm when necessary and manage behaviour in line with our school's behaviour expectations
Help make our lunchtimes a safe and happy time for all our pupils
Initially this role will work exclusively with our Year 6 class during COVID19 restrictions in school. However, once the restrictions change you will work alongside another Welfare Assistant and staff supervising multiple year groups at once.
Padiham Green Church of England Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety of our children and the successful candidate will require a clear Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and required to take part in a range of other recruitment checks.
This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis. £9.30 per hour
